The Senior Sentry nurse call system by CISCOR is PC based and features CISCOR's revolutionary DEVI 9000 alarm processing software providing maximum power and efficiency in the management of nurse call system alarms and staff response. A nurse call system may be hardwired, wireless or a combination of the two. Record the date, time, and location of all nurse calls. Acknowledge (silence) any nurse call by individual staff ID number at the computer or by hand held two way radio. This level of staff accountability dramatically increases staff efficiency and attention. Set time windows for amount of time taken to acknowledge a nurse call and time taken to restore the nurse call switch to normal. The Senior Sentry nurse call system can sound an alert if action from staff is too slow or send an immediate email message to administrators advising them of the tardy response. Print reports any way, any time. For example, see how many times Ms. Jones activated her nurse call switch in the last month and how long it took to respond each time. Each morning administrators may print a report showing the events that exceeded the accepted acknowledge and restore time window.

Voice Intercom
Two Way intercom options allow voice to voice calls between residents and staff. Calls can be taken at the nurse call station, by radio or by telephone. This allows maximum mobility for staff. Conversations are hands free on the part of residents.

Call Switches
A variety of nurse call system switches is available to suite every application. Nurse call switches can be custom printed with the facility logo.

Wireless Pendants

Wireless, water resistant nurse call pendants are available with belt clips, neck lanyards, or wrist bands. Nurse call system pendants are fully supervised, meaning staff are alerted if the nurse call pendants stop working or develop a low battery. This is vital when lives depend on your nurse call system. Spread spectrum technology transmits alarm signals on multiple frequencies, ensuring the greatest possible degree of reliability. Staff can pinpoint the person whose pendant has been activated, and with optional locators the Senior Sentry™ will even tell you where in your facility, inside or out, they are.

Remote Alarm Announcement

Senior Sentry™ nurse call systems completely eliminate the need to keep a staff person at the main nurse station. This means a big savings in labor costs. Nurse call system alarms can be posted to pagers, telephones or radios. All staff are simultaneously informed of alarms or events. Radios provide added benefits. Staff can then use their radios to decide amongst themselves who is going to respond to the nurse call increasing efficiency. Everyday staff to staff communications such as dispatching maintenance are easily and seamlessly woven into the tapestry of your facility. In addition, nurse call system alarms can be posted to email and fax. This is especially useful for system supervisory notifications.

How Radios Work

If a problem occurs, the voice synthesizer in the computer announces an alarm to all staff carrying radios. The message will be repeated every fifteen seconds, requiring an acknowledgement from a staff member to silence the repeating broadcasts. By entering his or her unique ID number into the keypad on the hand held two way radio, that person will be logged, by name, into the computer as the responsible party. This increased accountability is vital when the lives of your residents depend upon the response of facility caregivers, and this significantly reduces your liability. Acknowledge by ID number is also available with the Senior Sentry telephone interface.
