Tank Farm and Refinery Security

Use wireless transmitters to monitor:

  • Tank Fluid Levels
  • Flow Rates
  • Temperature

Use change of status transmitters to detect when a tank has reached a certain level. Analog to digital conversion transmitters will transmit incremental information such as temperature in one degree increments.

Wireless repeaters require only 110vac power or may be operated by a solar panel. Repeaters have an open field range of nearly 4 miles. When strategically located throughout the refinery, they will relay alarm and status information over very large areas. Information is funneled back to a central computer where all data is logged and displayed. Alarm levels may be set to provide instant notification if any user defined parameters are exceeded.

Hand Held Two Way Radio Monitoring

Alarms or events can be automatically broadcast as a user defined computer voice message over hand held two way radios. Messages can be user defined such as "Tank 14 level is low" or "Valve open at station 10." The message will continue to broadcast every fifteen seconds until acknowledged either at the computer or by a supervisor entering a unique personal ID number with a hand held two way radio. Alarms and events may be routed to any of 6 radio channels so that personnel will hear only alarms assigned to their area or division.

Personnel Tracking

This system locates key personnel on demand. Key employees carry a wireless duress transmitter that constantly transmits a locating signal. Wirelesses locating devices placed according to need and design throughout the facility log the location of maintenance personnel, operators, or other employees as they move from place to place.

Asset Tracking

Wireless motion sensing devices may be attached to trucks, welding tanks, or other valuable assets so that they can be located at any time by making a query at the central computer. Assets that must stay in a fixed location may be monitored for unauthorized removal. Any attempt to remove them from a user defined area creates an alarm. Any movement within the defined area will not create an alarm.

Real Time Security Guard Tour System

The system will provide immediate notification if a guard tour station has not been posted (visited) within a user defined time period. All guard tour events are posted in real time as they happen. All events are posted with date and time, and touring guards may report and log circumstances such as finding an unlocked door, broken window, or hazardous material.
