Security Systems

Alarms and events may be logged, displayed, announced, and handled. Alarm inputs may be hardwired, wireless, by digital communicator, by serial input from other systems (i.e. fire alarm panels), or any combination of these. The system supports 6,000 hardwired inputs and 65,000 wireless inputs. The system can output to relays, ASCII commands to other systems and devices, on site pagers, area wide pagers, digital receivers, two way radios, voice message dialers, graphic map displays, and email.

Scheduler

A flexible scheduler may be used to assign time zones for arming and disarming of zones automatically. A holiday scheduler to allow for various holidays such as Christmas may override these schedules. For example, we may want the front door alarm contacts to be disarmed during the day from 8 AM to 5 PM but armed the rest of the time including all day Saturday and Sunday. An unlimited number of schedules may be defined in the system and each device can be independently assigned one or more of the defined schedules.

Manual Arm and Disarm

Any individual input device may be armed and disarmed manually by a keypad, key switch, or by any other alarm or event. This is a software driven configuration.

Arming Groups (partitioning)

The system allows groups of devices to be organized into "arming groups". For example, an office building has seven floors and each floor may be set up as an arming group. Each arming group may be armed or disarmed manually by keypad or key switch or automatically by a time schedule.

Remote Reporting by Telephone

The system is capable of reporting all alarms and events from the central computer to another computer at a remote site by means of a telephone digital communicator. The most common application would be for the facility to monitor their own alarms during the day but at night the alarms must go to another location.

Relay Output

Relay outputs are available to control equipment, lights, and provide switching. Relays may be latching, pulsing, or by momentary user defined timed output from 1 second to 2½ hours. Relays may be activated by another alarm or event, by hand held two way radio, or by a time schedule. For example, doors may be locked automatically from 6 PM to 7 AM the next morning Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. A holiday scheduler is available to override normal weekly schedules.
